Introductory Announcements
  • What supports do you need to make this a better experience? (Open Discussion)
    • What are your thoughts so far on open & networked learning?
    • What are the pros and cons of this type of learning experience?
    • How can we improve this learning experience?
    • Does any of this inform the way you teach or learn (or could/should teach and learn)?
  • Here are a few strong posts from this week:
    • If a Picture is Worth 1000 Words then ... by Mike. Great to see Mike use Video Blogging to present his reflections - this is something that I find quite difficult, so I commend Mike on taking the risk and doing it well.
    • My Learning So Far by Angela. A very comprehensive post where Angela attempts to respond to the questions of the week.
    • A Day in the Life of a Connected Educator by Danielle. It was great to see Danielle take Zoe's presentation from last week and attempt to tie this in to her own experience. Well done!
    • Evolving Definitions of Literacy by Linda. Great overview of literacy and what it may mean in Linda's context of Nunavut.
    • Perspective and Balance by Jamie. After a scary week (hope you're feeling better!), Jamie looks at the idea of balance when dealing with work and family. I think this really does lend a lot to the idea of how we look at and handle information flow.
    • So Karl Marx posted on my blog .. by Lisa. This is an important reflection from Lisa that describes her feelings and experiences on writing in the open.
    • Change by Shawna. Strong, personal reflection of the change that is yet to come, and the processes that need to happen.
    • My Thoughts So Far by Jamie. Great reflection on this week's questions, with some important thoughts about the course.
    • Thoughts on Open Education by Jud. Another strong reflection about the course so far, and suggestions for topics.
